I haven’t made a dress for myself since the lavender dotted-swiss number in high school (can’t you just picture it?) Wrap around dresses were popular then, too. I got this pattern from this Japanese sewing book, I want to make everything in it.

How very beautiful! I really love your self-portrait technique, too. Brava, brava!

I agree with Mamalana. You’re multi-talented!
I happen to love wrap dresses!
I think you’re too young to remember Gunny Sax (Sp?) dresses. They were all the rage when I was young.
Madonna has a lovely new line out at H & M. The beautiful dress you’ve just made, reminds me of one of her pieces.

What a sublime dress. Really fantastic work. I loved the dolls you made for the orphanage and should have guessed you just had heaps of hidden sewing talent. Thanks for sharing.
