Three, two, one giraffes. We spent the longest time with this beautiful pair. We saw an abssynian roller bird, too: breathtaking.

It’s true that Christmas next year will be quite different for you! It’s too bad that most expats leave Moscow for the holidays; I think we’ll stay put so that both girls can be in the New Year’s plays at school. There’s so much going on all over the city, and our closest Russian friends all have birthdays then, too (birthdays are HUGE here). My mom will come join us and we’ll visit Santa at the North Pole in Lapland for a few days.LikeLike
