For Peter and I, it's already Tuesday evening. There weren't any hamburger buns for our Bocca burgers at the commisary, so I'm baking yeast rolls to use for buns and Peter is playing guitar. We are so frustrated with the time difference between here and the US on election day. It's pretty much a twelve hour difference–okay it's eleven but it's easier to figure out if you just remember twelve– between us sitting here in our living room in Moscow and the West Coast…so I guess in the morning I'll find out how it's going…

Hey, you guys, I’m sitting here in California and it seems just as frustrating (compared to being in D.C.), so hang in there! Jeepers, 11 hours difference is a lot!

I was expecting long lines at the polls tonight when I went to vote and there were none. It was the quickest voting I’ve ever had. It took longer to park and walk into the town hall than to vote. I’ve had CBS on all evening and it’s exciting watching the returns. What a bummer that you miss it because of the time change from the East Coast of the US.

Thank God, Thank God, Thank God!
For 8 years I’ve been holding my breath, at last clean fresh air! America finally has pulled it’s collective head out of it’s ass.
What’s the response in Moscow?
Cheers,

Here I stayed up late to see all the results, watch McCain and Obama’s speeches and fell asleep on the couch with the puppy during Obama’s speech. History has been made here in the US and I’m glad that I voted for Obama. Good riddance to GW!

No surprise, great speech, MaCain showed a lot of class as well. Scary Sarah can go back up to Alaska, (sorry Nina). Most of the places that we love to go to in California the counties were all blue! Lets hope for the best.

Love MC’s comments. I’m so happy not to have to see Palin on TV now that the elections are over.
McCain’s speech was gracious and so true that everyone has to unite to help our new President.LikeLike
