Smart choice . . . abandoning the gloves, that is.

I had a 7 hour layover in Helsinki on my flight to Moscow. Arriving at 2:00 US time in the city on a drizzly Sunday morning was not the best but I checked my carry-on at the airport and rode the bus into the city. I walked all around and went to a street fair in a park and loved seeing all the hand crafts. At noon, some of the stores opened and I browsed. Prices were high so all I bought were a few cards when what I really wanted was a Dale of Norway sweater. I was very impressed with how clean the city was and how beautiful. The airport is gorgeous and the wood floor amazed me.
As for the drunk puking on your gloves, yukkkkkk! Imagine the poor bus driver as he probably had to clean it up. Wonder if that is part of his job description. Good thing you had gotten up to move.LikeLike

Ahhh…the land of my birth and its people. Especially bums. So much to love and so much not. I laughed so much and somehow all that: photos, the stuff you wrote: both good and bad is SO Finland. You nailed it.
